Welcome to the Adventure Centre.
We hope you all had a safe and relaxing holiday. We
certainly did and are now looking forward to a year packed with ‘adventures in
learning’.
We have 4 full-time staff in the Adventure Centre this
year. Marlene Williams and Karen Bourke are in Room 15, and Tanya Ewe and
Connie Garrett are in Room 16.
In Week 3 (Wednesday 16 Feb-Friday 18 Feb) we will be
having camp. We know it is an early camp, but it is an important bonding
experience for our Centre. The camp will be based at school to keep the cost
down, and we will be going out each day to do different activities. The cost of
the camp is $40. We realize that this is a substantial amount of money to pay
out at the beginning of the school year, so we are offering the choice of paying
by cash or doing a Lotto Bonus fundraiser. The fundraiser involves selling 40
numbers at $2 per number. $40 will go to the winning number, and $40 will cover
the cost of the camp.
We would like you to fill out the permission slip
below to let us know which option you would like to take. All money has to be in by Thursday 10 February. We will be having a
combined Camp and Meet-the teacher Meeting on Tuesday 8 February in Room 15 at
5:30pm to let you know what we are doing and to answer any questions you may
have.
You will also find attached some camp forms that need
to be filled out and returned to us as soon as possible. These are urgent, and
need to be completed before your child can join us on camp.
